Week 4 is in the books for the MTVRA Mechanized Trail Maintenance program. This finishes off 4 weeks of trail maintenance in the BLM Butte office area in partnership with Bureau of Land Management – Montana/Dakotas.
Maintenance included tread reconditioning and rolling dip repair / cleaning. Deep washouts and exposed rock had to be covered with material that was previously washed away into lower areas. Constructed new rolling dips on a couple trails to help prevent severe rutting. All trails were then finished with a trail rake to fill in low areas and to level tread.
