The camping and camping rates at the fairgrounds will be same as last year. Some improvements to the event from last year include more parking, portable outhouses dispersed through the camping areas and more of the grassy areas will be mowed.

FOOD!!!  Like last year, no one goes to bed hungry!  There is a pot luck planned for Friday evening, so bring a favorite dish to share.  On Saturday evening there is to be a catered dinner for all wanting to partake on Saturday.  Also, on Saturday evening there will be a silent auction, prizes and 50/50 raffle!  If you have some items you can donate for the auction, raffle, and give-away please bring them.

Great Falls Trailbike Riders Association and Montana Trail Vehicle Rider Association will be working with Bull Run Guest Ranch and the Hamilton Family to host the third annual Bill and Gerrit Hamilton Memorial Trail Ride May 18-19, 2019.  The ride is open to trial bikes, ATV’s, and all side-by-sides.  There will be a variety of lead trail rides for each vehicle type and for a variety of skill levels. Riders can ride on their own, but not alone, after they have participated in one lead ride or if they are with someone familiar with the ranch. The ranch is about 12,000 acres and features over 200 miles of routes for OHV’s.

Great Western Trail Montana/Idaho Connection Celebration - July 14

The Great Western Trail Association, in partnership with Custer Gallatin National Forest, is happy to announce the dedication of a new segment of the Great Western Trail that connects the existing Arizona, Utah, Wyoming, and Idaho sections with Montana.  Come and join the celebration and the trail dedication to be held on Saturday July 14th at 12:00 noon at the Old Airport in West Yellowstone, Montana. (GPS coordinates: 44.661, - 111.115.) After the dedication ceremony we will be riding along the Montana portion of the Great Western Trail to the Idaho border, approximately 9 miles.

We at Kootenai Country Montana would like to extend an invitation to your club for the 2nd Annual Wounded Warrior ATV Ride and Pro Barbecue Weekend coming up Memorial weekend (May 26 – 28)!  We have mapped out a 40 mile trek through the forest and hills of Kootenai Country Montana with staging out of Troy’s Roosevelt Park.  Finish will be at the same park where there will be food and fun courtesy of the Troy VFW post.

It’s 2018.  Already.  That means it is time to get the 2018 National Off-Highway Vehicle Conservation Council and International Off-Highway Vehicle Administrators Association joint annual conferences on your schedule.

From: Mona Ehnes, Montana Trail Vehicle Riders Association, MTVRA

The Pipestone Poker Run held April 14 welcomed ATV’s, motorcycles and ROV’s.  With the stretch of bad weather, Saturday turned out to be partly cloudy, a little wind, but by noon the sun came out and there were smiles all around.  The number of riders was down about a quarter from last year but many donated more than the requested $30 per hand.

On September 23rd 2017 a small group of riders gathered near the Rat Lake Trailhead. The reason for the gathering was the Inaugural Ride of a new OHV club, Five Rivers Trail Riders. Twenty two people in all brought out motorcycles, Jeeps, side by sides, and ATVs in spite of the morning’s snow and cold temps. Two rides were planned, one for the over 50” crowd and one for those under 50”s. The over 50” crowd took an old road up into more than 6”s of snow climbing to just behind the Storm Castle rock bluff.

Scouts. Over six hundred Boy and Adventure Scouts were all smiles. They had just completed the ATV Safety Institute (ASI) RiderCourse® at the National Scout Jamboree, followed by a trail ride through the woods of West Virginia. For most of the Scouts, it was their very first time riding an ATV.

Late planning didn’t hamper the success of the April 22 Poker Run at Four Corners in the Pipestone riding area this year. Planning team leader Don Kraft, Gallatin Gateway, got the ball rolling in December with a call to BLM’s Outdoor Recreational Planner Brad Colin. From this call, Montana Trail Vehicle Riders Association (MYVRA) and Friends of Pipestone(FOP) jointly committed to sponsor the event.

Your MTVRA and the Friends of Pipestone will co-sponsor the St. Jude’s Polar Bear Run on April 22nd at Pipestone east of Butte. The Mining City Trail Riders from Butte are helping with arrangements. More details to come later from MTVRA!
