MTVRA’s decades-long partnership with USFS resulted in mechanized trail maintenance over the past couple of weeks in the Madison Ranger District of the Beaverhead-Deerlodge National Forest.
Lobo Mesa trail saw the majority of the work this year. It began with tracking the equipment in 11 miles to the end of that 50″ trail and completing the needed trail maintenance repairs on the way back out. Repaired tread, rebuilt washed-out sections, added dips / drains, widened curves when possible, felled standing dead trees to prevent falling on trail, etc.
