Spring 2021 (pdf)

Who is the Montana Trail Vehicle Riders Association (MTVRA)?

MTVRA was formed in 1985 by individuals with common interests and concerns. Since then we have become a state wide organization which is supported by individual members, 14 OHV clubs across Montana and business memberships. The MTVRA Mission Statement: “To create a positive future for Montana off-highway recreation by creating an on-going communications forum through which OHV enthusiasts and organizations can share information and experiences; participate
in educational opportunities; build partnerships with land managers, and supporters; and become partners in protecting , promoting and creating a positive image of OHV recreation.”

On December 18th, Russ Ehnes and I were invited to speak at the Montana State Parks & Recreation Board (MSPRB) work session held in Helena. This was the Board’s third meeting since it was created by legislation earlier in 2013. We were given the time to give a background of MTVRA and NOHVCC as well as what we have done in the past and what we envision in the future. This was a great opportunity for us to let the State Parks and Recreation Board know what we and our supporting clubs have done in the past and how we can help Montana Parks & Recreation. Several board members asked questions which resulted in good discussions.
