MTVRA mechanized trail maintenance program has a couple contractor crews working in different locations during the month of July. USFS Bozeman Ranger District had a large project that MTVRA has been involved with over the past 3 weeks. Several of the trail sections had smaller bridges that did not allow the use of dozers due to weight limits. Our contractor working in the Bozeman area used a mini excavator that worked well for these areas, while not exceeding what the bridges were designed to hold.
